Very Scary Monster Nails
Show your Monsters U school spirit with your very own Sully and Mike Wazowski nails! With these easy-to-follow instructions, you will be sporting your own colorful creation in no time.
Clear base coat & top coat
Nail polish in bright blue, lime green, black, and white
Sally Hansen Nail Art Pen in purple (available at most drug stores)
Hole reinforcement stickers
Start with clean, dry nails. Apply a base coat and let dry. Next, paint all of your nails except each ring finger with a bright blue polish. While that is drying, paint each ring finger lime green.
Once your nails are dry, use a purple Nail Art Pen (or purple polish and a toothpick) to paint polka dots on your blue nails. For your green Mike Wazowski nail, position a hole reinforcement sticker on each dry green nail and press firmly. Paint the inside of the circle white and gently remove the sticker. Let the white circle dry, and then use black polish and a toothpick to paint a small dot in the center of the eyeball.
Once your nail creations are dry, top them off with a layer of clear topcoat. You’re all ready to scare your friends with your frighteningly cute nails!

Mrs. Hughes' Teacup Candles
With this Downton Abbey inspired craft, learn how to turn your favorite vintage teacups into a homemade gift for your family and friends.
Teacups (vintage or new)
Double stick tape
Glass measuring cup
Pot or pan for double boiler
Small votive candles, new or recycled
Wooden skewers for stirring and poking holes
Pick a teacup. Use one you have at home, or find one at your local thrift shop. Use double stick tape to fasten the sustainer and wick to the bottom of your teacup. Next, use a glass measuring cup to make a homemade double boiler on the stovetop.
Melt down small votives or recycled candles you have at home. Just make sure not to mix different types of wax! When the wax has all melted, pour it into your teacup until the cup is 2/3 full. Once this first layer of wax has dried, poke holes around the wick. This way, when you finish pouring the wax into your teacup, you'll end up a flat, even surface. Pour the rest of your candle, and allow it to dry for at least 24 hours before burning.
That's it! This is an easy way to recycle your favorite vintage teacups into a great gifts for your friends and family.
Arrested Development Quote Pillows
If you’re worn out from watching season four of Arrested Development all day on Netflix, take a snooze on one of our colorful Arrested Development quote pillows. Come up with your own favorite quote, or use one of our premade templates!
2 coordinating fabrics
Iron on paper & printer
Needle for hand stitching
Pick out two coordinating fabrics, one plain and one patterned. Cut out one 16 in square from each piece of fabric. Print out your favorite Arrested Development quote on iron on paper (or use one of ours!), and cut it out to the desired shape. Following the instructions that came with your paper, iron the quote on to your plain square of fabric.
Pin the facing sides of fabric together, making sure to leave a space at the bottom for stuffing. Using a sewing machine, stitch together the sides of your pillow. Trim the corners of your pillow to ensure that is has nice, clean edges. Flip the fabric right side out, and use a chopstick to push the corners into a point.
You’re almost done! Here’s the best part: stuff your pillow! Once the pillow is stuffed, pin the opening closed and hand stitch to finish.
